Carousel Widget

The Carousel is a scrollable, large-format video widget similar to Instagram Reels. Videos appear in a prominent, high-visibility format that drives product discovery.

Shoppers see large video thumbnails in a horizontal or vertical scroll. Each video plays as they browse, with product tags visible for direct shopping. The format is familiar from social media feeds and naturally draws attention.

When to use Carousel

Carousel works well for:

  • Homepage product discovery
  • Collection pages where you want video to be the primary content format
  • Landing pages for campaigns
  • Any page where you want video content to take up significant visual space

Setting up Carousel

  1. Go to Shoppable Video in your VideoPoint dashboard.
  2. Click Create Widget and select Carousel.
  3. Name your widget.
  4. Add videos.
  5. Tag products.
  6. Place the widget on your store via the Shopify theme editor.
  7. Save your theme.

Best practices

  • Carousel works best when you have 5+ videos. Fewer videos can make the scroll feel sparse.
  • Put your highest-performing content first. The first few videos in the carousel get the most views.
  • Use Carousel on pages with high traffic (homepage, top collection pages) for maximum exposure.
