Highlights Widget

Highlights Widget

Highlights display a video feed under each circle, giving shoppers a deeper browsing experience. Highlights drive 4x more engagement than Stories and are the top-performing widget type in VideoPoint.

What shoppers see

Shoppers see circular thumbnails (like Stories), but tapping a circle opens a feed of multiple videos related to that topic, collection, or product. They can browse through the feed, watch multiple videos, and shop products along the way.

When to use Highlights

Highlights work well for:

  • Collection-based browsing (one highlight per collection)
  • Deep product exploration (multiple angles, styling ideas, reviews for a single product)
  • Content series (weekly drops, seasonal lookbooks, styling guides)
  • Any page where you want shoppers to spend more time with your video content

Setting up Highlights

  1. Go to Shoppable Video in your VideoPoint dashboard.
  2. Click Create Widget and select Highlights.
  3. Name your widget and define the highlight groups (for example, one group per collection or per content theme).
  4. Add videos to each group.
  5. Tag products in the videos.
  6. Place the widget on your store via the Shopify theme editor.
  7. Save your theme.

Why Highlights outperform

Highlights keep shoppers engaged longer because they offer a feed experience rather than a single video. The format encourages browsing, which leads to more product discovery and more add-to-cart actions. If you are choosing a single widget type, Highlights are the strongest option for conversion impact.
