Importing from Instagram and TikTok

VideoPoint auto-imports your existing social media videos and lets you turn them into shoppable content on your store. No need to re-upload or recreate content you have already published.

What gets imported

Once you connect your accounts, VideoPoint imports:

  • Your Instagram Reels and video posts
  • Instagram collaborations and mentions of your brand
  • Your TikTok videos

The import runs automatically on an ongoing basis. When you post new content on social media, it becomes available in VideoPoint without any manual action.

Connecting your accounts

  1. Go to Shoppable Video in your VideoPoint dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Import section.
  3. Click Connect Instagram or Connect TikTok.
  4. Authorize VideoPoint to access your account.
  5. Your recent videos will start importing.

From import to shoppable

Once videos are imported:

  1. Select the videos you want to use.
  2. Tag products using AI Product Tagging or manual tagging.
  3. Add the videos to a shoppable widget (Stories, Highlights, Carousel, or Video Landing Page).

The videos are now shoppable on your store. Shoppers can watch your social content and buy the products shown without leaving the experience.

What content works well

Imported social content that performs well as shoppable video includes: product reviews and testimonials, unboxing videos, styling tips, behind-the-scenes footage, influencer and creator content, and before-and-after comparisons.

Your best-performing social content already has proven engagement. Bringing it onto your store turns that engagement into direct sales.

Auto-import automation

On the Advanced plan, auto-import runs continuously and can be paired with auto-add rules. New social posts are automatically imported, tagged, and added to the right widgets without any manual steps.
