Stories Widget

Stories are swipeable, full-screen video experiences displayed as circles on your store pages. Each circle contains one video, similar to Instagram Stories highlights.

What shoppers see

Shoppers see a row of circular thumbnails on your page. Tapping a circle opens a full-screen video. They can swipe between videos, view tagged products, and add items to their cart without leaving the experience.

When to use Stories

Stories work well for:

• Quick product showcases on your homepage
• Highlighting new arrivals or bestsellers
• Featuring UGC or influencer content
• Sharing behind-the-scenes or brand content

Stories are a good starting point if you are new to shoppable video. They are familiar to shoppers (most people know the format from Instagram) and easy to set up.

Setting up Stories

1. Go to Shoppable Video in your VideoPoint dashboard.
2. Click Create Widget and select Stories.
3. Name your widget.
4. Add videos to the widget.
5. Tag products in each video (or let AI product tagging handle it).
6. Go to your Shopify theme editor and add the VideoPoint app block where you want the Stories to appear.
7. Select the widget you created.
8. Save your theme.

Customization

You can adjust the appearance of Stories in the theme editor, including circle size, spacing, and placement on the page. The widget automatically adapts to your theme's styling.
