Understanding AI Points

AI Points are credits used to generate AI-powered images and videos in VideoPoint. Every time you create content in AI Studio, points are consumed.

How points work

Each video or photo generation uses a certain number of points. The exact amount depends on the content type, length, AI model used, and complexity. As a rough guide, approximately 100 AI Points produce one 5-second video.

Points reset monthly on all paid plans. On the free plan, you receive a one-time allocation of 1,500 points (enough for roughly 15 five-second videos).

Buying additional points

If you run out of points before your monthly reset, you can purchase additional points on any paid plan:

• Basic: $6 per 1,000 points
• Grow: $5 per 1,000 points
• Advanced: $4 per 1,000 points

Additional points are charged through your Shopify billing.

Checking your balance

View your current point balance and usage history in the VideoPoint dashboard under Settings > Usage or at the top of the AI Studio interface.

Tips for managing points

• Use templates for consistent, predictable point usage. Freeform prompting in AI Creator may use more or fewer points depending on complexity.
• Start with shorter videos (5 seconds) to test ideas before generating longer content.
• Use Bulk Generation efficiently by reviewing a small test batch before running your full catalog.
