Your First Shoppable Widget

Shoppable widgets turn your videos into a sales channel on your Shopify store. This guide walks you through setting up your first widget.

Choose a widget type

VideoPoint offers four widget types. Pick the one that fits your goal:

• Stories: Full-screen, swipeable video stories. Appear as circles on your page, similar to Instagram Stories highlights. Great for quick product showcases.
• Highlights: A video feed under each circle. Highlights drive 4x more engagement than Stories and are ideal for deeper product exploration.
• Carousel: A scrollable video carousel, similar to Reels. Works well for product discovery on collection pages or your homepage.
• Video Landing Page: A full-screen shoppable video feed hosted under your domain. Ideal for directing paid ad traffic, email campaigns, or SMS to a video-first shopping experience.

Create your widget

1. Go to Shoppable Video in your VideoPoint dashboard.
2. Click Create Widget.
3. Select the widget type you want.
4. Give your widget a name (for example, "Homepage Stories" or "New Arrivals Carousel").

Add videos

Add videos to your widget from any of these sources:

• AI Studio videos you have already created
• Imported videos from Instagram or TikTok
• Uploaded videos from your computer

Select the videos you want to include and add them to the widget.

Tag products

Each video needs product tags so shoppers can click through to buy. VideoPoint's AI can automatically detect and tag products in your videos. You can also add or adjust tags manually.

Place the widget on your store

1. Go to your Shopify theme editor (Online Store > Themes > Customize).
2. Navigate to the page where you want the widget (product page, collection page, homepage, or any custom page).
3. Add a VideoPoint app block.
4. Select the widget you just created.
5. Save your theme.

The widget is now live. Shoppers will see your videos and can click to add products to their cart directly from the video player.
